Dr. Mark McMahon
Dr McMahon received his under graduate degree in Animal Science
from North Carolina State University in 1984. He graduated from
the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State in
1988.
Upon completion of his doctorate degree he returned to his beloved Burke County to open Burke Animal Clinic. The decision to place the hospital at 1034 East Union Street in Morganton was a easy one to make. As the property has been continually operated in a variety of family businesses since 1903. Both his great grandfather and his grandfather operated successful business ventures there.
Dr. McMahon's medical interests include veterinary geriatrics, dentistry and laser surgery. His personal interests include all outdoor activities especially hiking and fishing. Dr McMahon currently serves on the Burke County Board of Health, and the City of Morganton Zoning and Planning boards. He and his wife Nan have 2 children; a five year old son, Drew and a two year old daughter, Mallory Grace.
